USA Immigration Law Thailand represents clients with regard to the legal aspects of getting married in Thailand. Our firm has had more successful fiancee visa, marriage visa and Prenuptial Agreements applications to the USA from Thailand than all the other Thailand based and USA based immigration attorneys and visa service companies combined.
The following is an outline of the services provided by our firm with regard to a legal Thailand marriage:
Step One: We will meet with you and your fiancee’s at our office and collect all the required documentation from both parties. We will prepare with you, one to two documents required by the US Embassy for notarization. This depends upon your previous marital situation. This process will take approximately one hour.
Step Two: We will take you to the American Citizens Services Section of the US Embassy where we will obtain one to two consular notaries (depending upon your previous marital situation) on the documents we have prepared at our office. The US Embassy charges the following fees: 1st notary 1,200 baht, 2nd notary 800 baht. This process will take 1 to 1 ? hours depending upon how busy the Embassy staff is at the time we arrive.
Step Three: Our firm will translate the English documents we obtained from the US Embassy into the Thai language. The translations are also certified by a licensed translator.
Step Four: Our staff will take you, and the translated documents, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Legalization Division. Your signatures will be verified and the translations of the documents will be certified correct. Our staff will represent you thru this process and complete the necessary forms.
Step Five: We will take you and your fiancee’s to the local district office (at an appointment time that we have pre-set) with a portfolio of all documents required by the Thai government for the legal marriage. Our staff will present you and your fiancee’s along with all documentation to the Thai government officials. The legal marriage is registered and both parties are presented with an original certificate of marriage. Pre-Nuptial agreements are registered at this time.
